| (1) Progressive dementia |
| (2) Typical EEG (generalised triphasic periodic complexes at approximative 1 Hz) |
| (3) At least two out of the following: |
| Myoclonus |
| Visual or cerebellar disturbances |
| Pyramidal/extrapyramidal dysfunction |
| Akinetic mutism |
| Possible CJD |
| (1) Same clinical criteria as above |
| (2) No EEG available or without a typical EEG |
| (3) Duration less than 2 years |
