Multiple mononeuropathy as the initial presentation of systemic lupus erythematosus — nerve biopsy and response to plasma exchange

Summary

A woman with systemic lupus erythematosus presented with subacute multiple mononeuropathy which improved after plasma exchange. A sural nerve biopsy showed necrotising vasculitis of an epineurial artery.

Zusammenfassung

Bei einer Patientin mit Lupus erythematosus trat eine Mononeuritis multiplex auf, welche sich nach Plasmapherese besserte. Die Biopsie des N. suralis ergab eine nekrotisierende Vaskulitis in einer epineuralen Arterie.
