    Abstract
We encountered seven patients with Sjgrens syndrome associated painful sensory neuropathy without sensory ataxia. Predominant small fibre loss without axonal sprouting was seen in the sural nerve specimens. Preserved somatosensory evoked potentials and nerve conduction also suggested predominant small axonal sensory neuropathy.
