    In a recent systematic review of case control studies investigating head injury as a risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Fleminger et al1 replicated the results of the meta-analysis by Mortimer et al2 in males (OR 2.29; 95% CI from 1.47 to 2.00) but not in females (OR 0.91; 95% CI from 0.56 to1.47).
