  • The health status of stroke survivors was broadly similar at 10 and 15 years: the majority (10 years: 85.1%, 15 years: 86.8%) of participants were living at home and most had some limitation in activities of daily living, with a prevalence of mild-severe disability of 67.0% (62.7% to 71.4%) at 10 years and 63.2% (54.6% to 71.0%) at 15 years.
