Intracerebral hemorrhage and angiographic beading following amphetamine abuse

Abstract

We report a case of severe and rare complications of amphetamine abuse: intracerebral hemorrhage and spasm-induced changes in the cerebral vessels. The pathogenesis and treatment are discussed in the light of published data.

Viene riportato un caso di una grave e rara patologia da anfetamina, caratterizzata da ematoma intracerebrale e da alterazioni vascolari cerebrali di tipo spastico. La patogenesi e i relativi presidii terapeutici vengono discussi anche alla luce di quanto riportato in letteratura.
